ABOUT YOU
You have behind-the-scenes work experience in the live performing arts and are familiar with Canada’s theatre labour agreements and their role in supporting strong employment practices. You are a team player with great listening and communication skills and are not afraid to jump into the fray when needed. Patience, discretion, curiosity and a sense of humour are part of your DNA.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Labour Relations Associate is a new position at PACT. This is a contract part-time role, that will begin at the end of October 2025. It is a part-time hourly position (20 hours per week at $25/hr). The position will start with a 3-month probationary period, after which the contract will be extended until June 30, 2026, with the potential to renew. Reporting to the Labour and Employment Relations Manager, this position will be an important part of the support network between Canadian theatres and our labour partners.
Responsibilities will include:
- Researching and tracking use of the four labour agreements with an eye to labour negotiations, including creating negotiation spreadsheets and tracking labour concessions.

Communicating with PACT membership on issues of contracting, scheduling and labour partner paperwork.

Developing resources for PACT Membership to support their individual negotiations.

Supporting learning initiatives for Member Theatres on labour or HR topics

Working with the PACT team at the annual PACT conference
While PACT has a physical office in Toronto, it is a national organization, and the staff works remotely from their region. Applicants from across the country are encouraged to apply.
